My Top 5 Xmas Polishes

So, as we'll be seeing in the new year in a short while, I thought I'd do a little post on my top 5 nail polishes of the winter season (although I have to say, I have included 2 varnishes in one for most as I tend to combine). I absolutely love winter and the deep colours and sparkles that go with it! So here goes, my top 5 nail polishes of this winter.

First up is these two beauties. OPI's Pirouette My Whistle and Tickle My France-y. This combo is pretty discrete, but with the pink as an undertone, the fine sparkles just glimmer in the bright light. Not too strong; a perfect neutral combo for the cold winter.

Next up is Essie's Shearling Darling and Toggle to the Top. One thing I love about these is that one coat is enough, perfect for a quick coat before an evening out. I like to coat all nails with Shearling Darling and finish with a coat of Toggle to the Top (the sparkles) on the ring finger with this one. Deep red is my go to night out colour (matches my hair!)

Here we have Nails Inc's Connaught Square 3D glitter paired with OPI's You're So Vain-illa. It seemed like a strange combo at first but as the Nails Inc glitter has a clear base I wanted a colour to help it stand out, and I have to say it works a treat. The 3D glitter is magical; a fine mix of blue and purple glitter and it's definitely eye catching (and probably the most exciting thing I dug out this winter!).

Now this one is OPI's Green on the Runway. It's really difficult to catch the colour in just a picture but you can take my word for it, it's beautiful. A deep green at a glance, but in the right light gives off a lovely bright green shine. OPI seem to have perfected two tonal nail varnish. Perfect Xmas day nail varnish, subtle but festive!

Now last but definitely not least (in fact I have to say my favourites of them all) is OPI's Kermit Me To Speak and Gaining Mole-Mentum from the When Froggy Met Piggy gift set. I got this as a Christmas present from my best friend and I absolutely LOVE IT. Kermit Me To Speak is a two tone gold and purple varnish which just amazes me. I'm constantly waving my hand in the air trying to catch my nails in different lights whenever I wear it because it's just beautiful! Gaining Mole-Mentum is a clear based gold glitter which adds a such a Christmassy sparkle (again I like to add it to my ring finger, two coats does the trick for me).

And there we have it! My top 5 (or 9) favourite nail polishes of this winter! I hope you enjoyed and try some of these at some point! Please eave a link to your blog in the comments and don't forget to subscribe! What have you favourite polishes of this winter been?

Lots of love,

Greetings!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!

So, my name is Danielle and I'm new here. The plan is to post about anything and everything that takes my fancy. I hope you enjoy!

I'm currently a full time student, and working part time in retail in my local shopping centre. I love my university course and I love my job, but unfortunately doing both doesn't leave me with much free time. Living away from home means that I'm also not left with much money, but any spare money I'm left with is either saved or used to treat myself to some form of makeup (usually a liquid eyeliner, I never leave the house without my catflicks), a computer game (usually some sort of adventure or exploration game), a nail varnish (I used to be mad on Essie, I have a new found love for OPI) or hair dye (I went redhead from blonde in Oct 2013, and I don't see myself going back any time soon). All of which I'm sure will have their own independent posts at some point in the future.

The idea of doing a blog has always floated around in my mind but to be quite honest I've been too nervous to do so. I think I've always been worried about other people's opinions, meaning I've never bothered in fear of being shot down. However, my best friend Jess managed to talk me round (jembubble.blogspot.com, check out her blog, she's beautiful and amazing and like I said, my best friend!)

Anyway, I'm here! I hope you like what you read. Please leave a comment with any feedback and a link to your blog, and don't forget to subscribe!

I look forward to getting to know you all,

Much love,
